Hamilton American Legion new project

Hamilton's American Legion Post #285 is undertaking a new project to honor Military Veterans with ties to Caldwell County. The bricks will be used to honor Veterans, past and present, Active Duty, National Guard or Reserves, of all branches of our Armed Forces. The bricks will be placed near the Veterans Memorial located in the American Legion Park in Hamilton.

The bricks used will be standard sized red bricks (4"x8"x2 1/2') with black lettering. Each brick can be inscribed with three lines...with up to 20 characters per line (including spaces). Name, Branch, Rank, Years of service, Duty station/Ship are several examples of what you can have inscribed on the bricks to honor the men and women, your family members and relatives, who have proudly served our great nation.

The cost of each brick will be $50. At this time we are wanting to find out how many would be interested in purchasing bricks in honor of a Veteran, as the bricks have to be purchased in "lots". If  you are interested, please contact Gordon Dale Swindler at 816-583-4849 to let him know. You can also contact other active members of the American Legion Post #285 and they will pass the information on to him.
