Polo news by Wendy Chorot

CRAFT AND VENDOR FAIR~ Polo will host a craft fair on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at the community building from 9AM until 5PM. There will be several booths featuring handmade crafts, jewelry, candles, and much more. Kids can play games and make a Christmas ornament while mom and/or dad are shopping. Everything is inside and out of the weather. The Polo Fire Department will run the concession stand. There will be something for everyone. Come and enter to win door prizes!

STORY OF COURAGE~ Local amputee, 10-year-old Colton Newman, is featured on the Children’s Mercy website under “My Story.” Mom Michelle Newman also gives a video interview, explaining the journey their whole family has been on. Colton’s story is one of perseverance and courage following a brush hog accident that took both of his lower legs seven years ago when he was just three years old. Moving bales of hay in his Children’s Mercy feature photo says it all: Colton is a farm kid through and through.

FUN NEWS~ Sources at Casey’s in Polo say they make an average of 70 pizzas on a Friday night, with pepperoni being their top seller.
