Angela Marie Van Ness

Angela Marie Van Ness, age 47, of Overland Park, KS, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2017, at Liberty Hospital. Angela was born May 26, 1970, in Cameron, MO, to Jerry and Rhonda Sprouse.

Throughout her short life, Angela was known for her compassion toward others and her giving heart. She was a talented artist and also had a passion for photography. Angela would tell anyone that her greatest accomplishment in life was her son, Jacob. He was the light of her life until the end.

Angela was preceded in death by her grandparents, Frances and Bud Evans.

She is survived by her husband, Jason Van Ness of Overland Park, KS; son, Jacob of Overland Park, KS; stepdaughters, Megan Wilcox (Matt) of Ft. Worth, TX and Kristen Van Ness of Omaha, NE; parents, Jerry and Rhonda Sprouse of Polo; sister, Janie Dyhouse (Tim) of Gladstone; nephews and niece, Evan, Clay and Amanda Dyhouse; grandmother, Ellen Sprouse of Smithville; and many aunts, uncles and cousins, all of whom loved her very much.

Cremation has been entrusted to Stith Family Funeral Home in Polo. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
