Beverly June Snyder

Beverly June Snyder

Beverly June Snyder, age 86, of Sparta, MO, passed away on Dec. 11, 2021, at the Cox South Hospital in Springfield. She was born on July 16, 1935, to Blake and Margaret (Wallace) Corbett in Hamilton.

Beverly graduated as Salutatorian from the new Penney High School in Hamilton in 1952. She was married to William F (Bill) Snyder of Hamilton in 1955 and they lived on a farm just south of the Kendall Chapel Methodist Church. In 1969 they purchased the Western Auto Store in Gallatin, and moved there. Beverly and Bill divorced in 1978 and
Beverly moved to Kidder and went to work for Cameron Mutual Insurance. She retired from Cameron Mutual Insurance in 1998 and moved to Plad, MO, moving her mother, Margaret Corbett to nearby Buffalo during the same timeframe. In 2017 she moved to an apartment in Sparta, where she loved the little town neighborhood again.
Beverly would often talk fondly of the time of her and her family's lives when they were in the Kendall Chapel community in Caldwell County. She would say that it was a special place and time, and what a gift it was to have been a part of that family and that neighborhood.
Her later life was spent enjoying the Ozarks, which she also loved, and with South Missouri friends and her beloved pets. Many who knew Beverly throughout her life understood that she was an intelligent and independent mind, didn't always keep hidden the independent parts, but truly valued being content with what she had and keeping life about the simpler things. She loved books and puzzles and photo albums of her family history. Up until a few weeks before her passing, she would often walk a mile with one of her sons.

She is survived by her four children, William Dale Snyder of Chillicothe, Douglas Blake Snyder of Ozark, Susan Lynn Nickell of Sedalia, and Clinton Wayne Snyder of Troy, MT; brother, Ronald Keith Corbett of Grand Junction, CO; three grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Graveside service and interment will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 15, at the Mirabile Cemetery in Mirabile. There is no formal scheduled visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the donor’s favorite animal shelter.
