Blanche L. Lowry

Blanche L. Lowry, age 96, a resident of Braymer, MO, former resident of Kansas City, passed away on Thursday, Mar. 28, 2019, at Golden Age Nursing Home in Braymer.

Blanche was born the daughter of George Edward and Mae (Gastineau) Voyles on May 14, 1922, in Caldwell County. She was a 1941 graduate of Braymer High School. She was united in marriage to Cloyd Lowry in 1945. He preceded her in death on Oct. 8, 1955. She was then united in marriage to Harold Lowry in 1983. He preceded her in death.

Blanche worked as a sales representative for Stanley Home Products for over 20 years. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Braymer. She served as past grand marshal of Braymer Homecoming in 2009.

Survivors include one son, Kenneth Lowry of Gladstone; one daughter, Janice Gregory of Cameron; two granddaughters, Stacey Gregory and Robin Bruno; one grandson, Jeffrey Lowry; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Harold Voyles of Leawood, KS and Edward Voyles of Braymer; three sisters, Inez Anderson of Braymer, Frances Weir of Kansas City, and Shirley Shelton of Kearney; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Cloy; husband, Harold; and two brothers, Roy Eugene and Carl Voyles.

Funeral services will be held at the Church of Christ in Braymer on Tuesday, April 2, at 2:00 p.m. A scheduled visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. at the church, one hour prior to the service. Friends may call at the Church of Christ in Braymer on Tuesday, April 2, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Black Oak Cemetery in Braymer.
