Bobby Lee Russell

Bobby Lee Russell, age 76, of Kingston, MO, passed away Saturday, Aug. 26, 2017, at Cameron Regional Medical Center in Cameron.

Bob was born May 2, 1941, in Polo, the son of Harold Grafton Russell and Coleta Clute Russell. He was a graduate of Polo High School.

On July 23, 1961, Bob married Anita Gayle Martin at the Cameron Christian Church in Cameron. She preceded him in death on Aug. 22, 2010.

Bob worked for many years as a heavy equipment operator doing road construction in several states.

He was a member of the Kingston Baptist Church and enjoyed playing his guitar. Bob was a lover of country and gospel music. He and his friends would get together and play at nursing homes and churches throughout the area.

Bob is survived by three sons, Randy Russell of Biloxi, MS, Lonnie (Julie) of Vail, AZ, and James (Shelley) of Kingston; 12 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brother, Dale (Dottie) of Kingston; and close friend, Helen Innis of Polo.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Anita.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2017, at the Stith Family Funeral Home in Polo. No service is scheduled at this time and burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Kingston Cemetery, and left at or mailed to Heritage Funeral Home, 3141 N. Washington, Chillicothe, MO. Arrangements are under the direction of Heritage Funeral Home in Chillicothe.
