Bobby Lee Thompson

Bobby Lee Thompson, age 79, of Hamilton, MO, passed away on Jan. 8, 2016, in St. Joseph.

Bobby was born on Oct. 18, 1936, in Hamilton, to Sam and Reva Thompson. He had worked in the past at Lake City Ammunition and had been a truck driver. He retired from Stride Rite Shoe Factory in Hamilton as a Maintenance Supervisor.

He was a member of the Hamilton Baptist Church.

On May 5, 1957, he married Sharon Simkins at the Kidder Baptist Church in Kidder. She preceded him in death in 2015. He was also preceded by his parents; brother, William Thompson; and a brother-in-law.

Survivors include his daughter, Brenda Spence of Bethany; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; his sister, Cleta Frazier of Parkville; and a sister-in-law.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 12, at Bram Funeral Home in Hamilton. Interment will be held at Highland Cemetery in Hamilton. Memorials may be made to the Caldwell County Foundation Cancer Assistance Fund. Arrangements are under the direction of Bram Funeral Home in Hamilton.
