Christina Lynn Barnett
Christina Lynn Barnett, age 66, a resident of Kingston, MO, passed away on Wednesday, June 27, 2018, at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, KS.
Christina was born the daughter of James Roy, Jr. and Forestina (Rogers) Clary on April 28, 1952, in Kansas City. She was a 1970 graduate of Center High School in Kansas City. She received a scholarship from the Jewish Women in Kansas City for her education. After graduation, she attended UMKC. She worked as a call back specialist for City Bank for six years. She also worked for GE for ten years.
Christina enjoyed participating in rainbows, art, reading, writing, and poetry. She loved fishing and fireworks. Christina was very funny, and always fun to be around. She was a hard worker, supporting her family as a single mother.
Survivors include her mother, Forestina Clary of Hamilton; one son, Michael James Barnett (Kristan) of Woodbridge, VA; two daughters, Lisa Gray (Robert) of Kingston and Brooke Alexis Barnett of Hamilton; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Dixie Hale (Ray) of Green Ridge; and two aunts, Anne Lawrence of Denver, CO and Edna Clary of Sunrise Beach.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Funeral services will be held at the Kingston Nazarene Church in Kingston on Saturday, June 30, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. A scheduled visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the service from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home in Chillicothe on Friday, June 29, from noon until 6:00 p.m. Burial will be held at the Cottage Grove Cemetery in Cowgill. Memorial contributions may be made to the Christina Lynn Barnett Memorial Fund, and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P. O. Box 47, Chillicothe, MO 64601.
