DeLloyd Neal McKnight

DeLloyd Neal McKnight, age 73, a resident of Polo, MO, formerly of Braymer, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2015, at NorthCare Hospice House in North Kansas City.

DeLloyd was born the son of Neal and Ruth Marie (Culling) McKnight on Aug. 15, 1942, in Braymer. He was united in marriage to Linda Eloise Marlott on March 20, 1964, in Kansas City. She survives of the home. DeLloyd worked as a painter for Kenworth for over 20 years, and then for ABC until his retirement. He was a member of the Braymer Christian Church. He loved the outdoors, motorcycles, old cars, and most of all his family. He was very proud of his Cherokee Native American culture.

DeLloyd was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Donna Smith.

Survivors include his wife, Linda, of the home; one daughter, Tawna Philippeit (Jeff) of Kearney; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at the Braymer Christian Church in Braymer on Saturday, Dec. 5, at 11:00 a.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the church on Saturday, Dec. 5, one hour prior to the service at 10:00 a.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home in Braymer on Friday, Dec. 4, from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Braymer. Memorial contributions may be made to Northland Hospice House, and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P. O. Box 47, Chillicothe, MO 64601.
