Doris Lucille Alden
D. Lucille Alden, age 86, of Hamilton, MO, passed away at her home on Sept. 26, 2018. She lived in Hamilton most of her life.
Lucille was born on March 9, 1932, in Kennendale, TX, to Etsel and Celestine (Morton) Pellham. She graduated from the Hamilton High School. Lucille was a business owner and owned The Colonial Café in Hamilton, and the Alden Hardware Store in Hamilton with her husband, and later was in charge of the Hamilton School District cafeteria.
She was a member of the Hamilton United Methodist Church and belonged to a camping club in the past with her husband, Irston.
On Oct. 5, 1950, she married Irston Alden in Hamilton. He preceded her in death in 2003.
Lucille was also preceded by her parents; son, Gordon Alden in 1992; daughter, Kathy Baker in 2005; and a sister, Louise Yuille in 2005.
Survivors include five grandchildren, Chris Baker of Lee’s Summit, Holly Baker (Matt Gardner) of Breckenridge, Rod Baker of Breckenridge, Sean (Monica) Alden and Michael Alden, both of Gladstone; daughter-in-law, Debbie Alden of Kansas City; two great-grandchildren, Mally Gardner and Lilly Alden; and two step-granddaughters, Amanda Fletchall and Tanya McCloud.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Monday, Oct. 1, 2018, at the Hamilton United Methodist Church. A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Highland Cemetry in Hamilton.
