Dr. Terry Lee Ross

Dr. Terry (Doc) Lee Ross, age 83, of Hamilton, MO, passed away on Aug. 28, 2021, at the Cameron Regional Medical Center in Cameron. He lived in Braymer and in Hamilton since 1987.  

Terry was born on Aug. 31, 1937, in Onawa, IA, to Charles Robert and Arlo (Fouts) Ross. He attended Morningside College for four years, and then attended the University of Iowa for two years. He was a teacher for ten years. He then attended Logan University in Chesterfield and became a doctor of chiropractic. He owned and operated his Ross Chiropractic office in Hamilton for a number of years and loved his patients, who were also very important to him.

Terry honorably served his country in the Marines for six years. He was a member of the Hamilton Baptist Church and the Northwest Chiropractic Association. He never met a stranger and could talk to anyone. Doc loved the Lord and he brought many to Him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and a nephew.

On Aug. 9, 1964, he married Barbara Klunder at the Lutheran Church in Waverly, IA. She survives of the home.

Additional survivors include a daughter, Renee (Tom) Beck of Wilmington, IL; son, Terry Travis (Dayna) Ross of St. Joseph; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. 

Cremation has been entrusted to Bram Funeral Home in Hamilton. A Celebration of Life visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until noon on Saturday, Sept. 4, at Bram Funeral Home. Military honors will be held following the service at noon. Inurnment will be held later at Abe Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to CASA of River Valley, IL, in care of the funeral home or at casaofrivervalley.org/donate.
