Earl C. “Kingfish” Gentry

Earl C. “Kingfish” Gentry, age 77, of Warrensburg, MO, died Sunday, Oct. 8, 2017, at The Living Center in Marshall.

Earn was born May 20, 1940, in Clinton County near Mirabile. He was the son of the late Charles Lynn Gentry and Mary Katherine Bebout Gentry. On Sept. 23, 1988, he married Nina Fitch Gerdeman, who survives of the home.

He lived in Warrensburg most of his life, was a retired service station manager, and farm laborer at the Ron Niemeyer farm. He loved driving Oliver tractors on the farm, fishing, and was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan.

In addition to his wife Nina, he is survived by one sister, Rita Johnson (Junior) of Kingston, and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held on Friday, Oct. 13, at the Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, officiated by Pastor Joel Kurz. Inurnment was held on Friday, Oct. 13, at the Warrensburg Memorial Gardens in Warrensburg. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
