Edna Fay Wright

Edna Fay Wright, age 94, a resident of Braymer, MO, passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2019, at her residence.

Edna was born the daughter of James Isaac and Lula Maude (Yoakum) Jackson on Sept. 30, 1924, in Cowgill. She was a 1942 graduate of Braymer High School. She was united in marriage to Lynn Alvin Wright on June 17, 1948, in Braymer. He preceded her in death on May 30, 2009.

Edna was a member of the Braymer Methodist Church, where she was Sunday school teacher, a volunteer for vacation bible school, and bereavement dinners. She was a farm wife and helped Lynn in the field. Edna enjoyed gardening and always kept a large garden.

Survivors include two sons, Gary Wright (Brenda) and Terry Wright, both of Braymer; two daughters, Doneta Wright of Braymer and Linda Guerriero (Joe) of Blue Springs; eleven grandchildren, Katarina Keller (James), Anthony Guerriero (Lindsey), Jonathan Wright (Stephanie), Danielle Morrill (Brock), Angela Wright, Scotty Leakey (Shelby), David Calton (Bailey), Steven Calton (Margaret), Michael Wright (Sharon), Amy Nicole Petet (Daniel), and Samuel Wright; 24 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lynn; grandson, Timothy Calton; two sisters, Willa Lee Arr and Revah Penfold; and one brother, Raymond Jackson.

Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home in Braymer on Tuesday, April 2, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. A scheduled visitation will be held at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m., one hour prior to the service. Burial will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Braymer. Memorial contributions may be made to the Tweedie-Murray American Legion Post 117, and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P. O.
