Edward E. Ernat

Edward Eugene Ernat, age 75, of Hamilton, MO, passed away on Monday, June 4, 2018, at his home in Hamilton.

Ed was born on Nov. 28, 1942, in Spring Valley, IL, to Edmond and Elsie (Jensen) Ernat. He grew up in Granville, IL, where he first worked as an auto mechanic and as a farmer in the Illinois river bottoms. He met his wife, Marilyn Rauh from Spring Valley, and they were married there on June 29, 1963. The two were married 55 years and raised four children.

In 1979, the family moved to Hamilton, where Ed continued farming and enjoyed restoring old cars. He was a member of several car clubs.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Marilyn, of the home; four children, Julie Harris of Richmond, VA, Eddie Ernat of Hamilton, Rose Norton of Buffalo, MN, and David Ernat of Hamilton; eight grandchildren; and two siblings, Patricia Raineri of Peru, IL and Christine Healey of Arizona.

Cremation has been entrusted to Bram Funeral Home in Hamilton. A graveside memorial service will be held at a later date at Highland Cemetery in Hamilton. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association. www.bramfuneralservices.com
