Eugene Richard Brown

Eugene Richard Brown, age 77, of Houston, TX, went home to be with the Lord June 24, while in hospice care at Methodist Hospital. Gene was born in Braymer, to parents Oscar Brown and Sarah Carman.

He had a zeal for truth and a gift of communication which made him a faithful evangelist for Jesus Christ for the majority of his life. He was a retired Special Forces soldier, teacher, ordained minister, entrepreneur and farmer.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife Phyllis Anderson Brown.

He is survived by daughters Martha Janelle Love, Kathleen Bruno, and Gisele Dold, and grandchildren Emma Bruno, Benjamin Dold and William Eugene Dold.

A memorial service will be held July 8, at 10:30 a.m., at Grace Bible Church of Houston, 13700 Schroeder Rd, Houston, TX 77070, with a remembrance luncheon to follow. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to ministries and missions of choice. A graveside service will be held in Braymer in August. The date and time is yet to be determined.
