Gary Ray Webb

Gary Ray Webb, age 71, a resident of Ludlow, MO, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2015, at the University of Kansas Hospital in Kansas City, KS.

Gary was born the son of Clifford and Lola (Eichler) Webb on January 31, 1944, in Braymer. He was a 1961 graduate of Braymer High School. After graduation, he attended Central Missouri State University. Gary served in the United States Army from 1963 until 1965. He was united in marriage to Diannia “June” Hostetter on April 13, 1970, in Nowata, OK. She survives of the home.

Gary was a member of the Ludlow Community Church in Ludlow. He was also a member of the Noodlers Anonymous, Shoal Creek Association, the American Legion Tweedy Murray Post #17, the Chillicothe Eagles Aerie No. 2428, the Chillicothe Elks Lodge #656, and the Southwest School Board, where he founded the Southwest Football Program.

Survivors include his wife, June, of the home; one son, Ramey Brent Webb (Mae) of Ludlow; three daughters, Glinda Sue Barron of Chillicothe, Terria Jane Cox (Jeff) of Chillicothe, and Claudia Beth Auer of Viola, AR; 19 grandchildren; one great-grandson; three brothers, Jack Webb of Breckenridge, Leonard Webb (Sally) of Lee’s Summit, and Dwain Webb (Kathy) of Braymer; and one sister, Linda Roberts (George) of Mooresville. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Lonnie Ray Webb; and one nephew, T.J. Webb.

Funeral services will be held at the family home place (2419 Hwy. DD, Ludlow, MO 64656), two miles west of Ludlow, on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the family home place on Saturday, Sept. 12 from 9:00 until 10:00 a.m., one hour prior to the service. Friends may call Lindley Funeral Home in Chillicothe on Friday, Sept. 11, from noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at McCroskrie Cemetery in Ludlow. Memorial contributions may be made to McCroskrie Cemetery, and/or Gary Webb Memorial Fund (for fish shack), and/or the Southwest Football Program, and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O.
