Glen Heskle Eaton

Glen Heskle Eaton, age 80, passed away Sept. 6, 2017, at his home in Kidder, MO, surrounded by family. Glen was born on April 7, 1937, to R.H. Eaton and Grace (Roe) Eaton.

Glen loved his family and spoke often with pride of his six sons. Two of Glen’s favorite past times were hunting and fishing. He made several fishing buddies throughout his life. Glen had a passion for horses, and he shared this passion with his sons. Glen, Virginia, and their six boys traveled near and far to compete in many rodeos, often taking first place. Glen always had a story to tell and sometimes these stories were true.

On March 23, 1957, Glen married Virginia Lamar. They spent their entire married life and raised their family in the Caldwell-Daviess County area. Glen was a heavy-equipment operator until he and Virginia started their own successful drywall business, Eaton Drywall. Glen retired from Painters District Council #3, Local 2012. Virginia survives of the home.

Glen is also survived by his six sons, Rick (Kathy), Scott (Cindy), Terry (Berneice), William, Charlie (Teresa), and Jessie (Jenni); 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Glen was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Elsie; all of his brothers and sisters, Harold, Lloyd, Clarence, Betty Thomas, and Helen Wiedmaier; and grandson, Joshua Eaton.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 11, 2017, at Bram Funeral Home in Hamilton. There is no formal scheduled visitation. Interment will be at Highland Cemetery in Hamilton. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Daviess County Kicking Cancer With Kindness Program. Arrangements are under the direction of Bram Funeral Home in Hamilton.
