Glen J. “J.R.” Robinson

Glen J. “J.R.” Robinson, age 82 of Cameron, MO, formerly of Kingston, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2017, at Cameron Regional Medical Center in Cameron. 

J.R. was born April 21, 1934, in Pollock, the son of William and Elizabeth (Fleshman) Robinson. He had lived in Kingston for over 30 years before moving to Cameron five years ago.

J.R. was a member of the American Legion Post #285 in Hamilton. He courageously served our country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. On Aug. 24, 1973, he was united in marriage to Cherryl Rains in Clarksdale. 

J.R. was preceded in death by his wife Cherryl; his parents; a sister, Mary; and a brother, Willard.

Survivors include two daughters, Kelly (Rick) Latimer of Cameron and Shae Mills of Kingston; three granddaughters, Ashley (Derek) Drager of Cameron and Maci Mills and Skye Robinson, both of Kingston; grandsons, Cody Latimer of Cameron and Dalton Mills of Lamoni, IA; and four great-grandchildren.

A memorial visitation will be held Friday, Jan. 27, 2017, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Stith Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Polo. Inurnment will be held at a later date at the Kingston Cemetery in Kingston. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the Wounded Warriors Project in loving memory of J.R.
