Harold Dean “Buck” McBee

Harold Dean “Buck” McBee, age 62, of Chillicothe, MO, passed away on Saturday, Mar. 23, 2019, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City.

Buck was born on July 25, 1956, to Harold “Buck” and Norma (McCrary) McBee in Chillicothe. He grew up as an only child in Stet and graduated from Stet High School in 1974. He was a driver for Rooney Trucking since late 2013. In his earlier years, Buck was a singer-songwriter. Buck found joy in camping, hunting, doing DIY projects, and spending time with family and friends.

On May 27, 1988, Buck married Linda Long of Chillicothe, who survives of the home. He is also survived by three children, Allisha Eckert of Chillicothe, Kyle McBee of Cowgill, and Shian McBee of St. Joseph, and three grandchildren.

Buck was preceded in death by both of his parents and his mother-in-law.

Funeral services will be held at Lindley Funeral Home in Chillicothe on Friday, Mar. 29, at 1:30 p.m. A scheduled visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from noon until 1:30 p.m. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, Mar. 28, from noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Rosehaven Memorial Gardens in Chillicothe.
