Harold L. Kelly

Harold L. Kelly passed away peacefully in Ft. Collins, CO, on Sept. 30, 2015.

Harold was born on Jan. 29, 1928, to Walter and Gertrude Kelly. The family resided in Braymer, where he graduated from Braymer High School in 1945, and then attended the University of Missouri.

During WWII, Harold was stationed in Japan, where he worked in communications for the US Army. On Jan. 29, 1948, Harold married the love of his life, Mary Lou McBee in Chillicothe. Together they had two daughters, Lynda and Janice. The couple left their farm for Rawlins, WY, where Harold became a conductor with the Union Pacific Railway. After a career of 40 years, Harold and Mary began their retirement years in Ft. Collins, CO.

Harold was a loving husband and father, and was active in the V.F.W., B.P.O.E. Elks, the Masons, and the Shriners. He also enjoyed golf and dancing in his spare time.

Harold is survived by his loving wife, Mary, of 67 years; daughters, Lynda Klouda (Ken) and Janice Kelly; grandson, Kelly Klouda (Ashley); and great-grandchildren, Riley and Devon Kramer-Klouda.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Bill and Jim.

A celebration of life will be held at the Adriel Hills Clubhouse on Wednesday, Oct. 7, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Interment will be held at the Black Oak Cemetery in Braymer. Memorials may be sent to the Shriners Hospital for Children, Office of Development, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607.
