Harrison Grant Lapen

Harrison Grant Lapen, age 24, of Hamilton, MO, passed away on Nov. 18, 2017, in St. Joseph. Harrison was born Sept. 19, 1993, in Clinton, to Nesha (Walker) Park and Bruce Lapen. He grew up in Hamilton and graduated from Penney High School in 2012.

He earned his Associates of Arts degree in Manufacturing Engineering from Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph. Harrison had worked most recently for SkyMark Refuelers as an agent in Kansas City, KS, but also had worked in the building and craftsman trades for Snap-On, Walker's Automotive Repair, Line-X, NW Electric, and Randy Gibler Construction. 
Harrison was a member of the Hamilton Federated Church, where he was also baptized, the Hamilton Volunteer Fire Department, and was an active member of the Missouri Gas and Steam Engine Association in Hamilton. 
He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents.
Survivors include his parents, Nesha (David) Park of Hamilton and Bruce Lapen, of Slippery Rock, PA; Siblings, McCall Lapen, Mati, Murphy, Losson, and Grason Park, and Kiersten Lapen; favorite uncle, Cody Walker of Hamilton; grandparents, Dennis and Karen Walker of Hamilton, Steve and Judy Moyer of Polo, and Sue and Ben Carothers of West Sunbury, PA; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; his dog, Captain; and a host of friends.
A  Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 25, at the Hamilton Federated Church. A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m., Friday, Nov. 24, at the Hamilton Federated Church. Interment will be at Highland Cemetery in Hamilton. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Midwest Transplant Network in care of Bram Funeral Home in Hamilton. www.bramfuneralservices.com
