Herbert “LeRoy” Webb

Herbert “LeRoy” Webb, age 74, a resident of Braymer, MO, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018, at Liberty Hospital in Liberty.

LeRoy was born the son of Richard A. Webb and Viola (Shackelford) Webb on May 2, 1943, in Spickard. He was a 1961 graduate of Braymer High School. He served in the US Army from 1961-1967. On Sept. 11, 1964, he married Hildegard “Hilde” Detjen in Saarbrucken, Germany. She survives of the home.

LeRoy spent his whole adult life working as a mechanic. He retired from the Missouri Department of Transportation. He also enjoyed working on and restoring old cars. Spending time with his grandkids and great-grandkids was also a favorite pastime of his.

He is survived by his wife, Hilde, of the home; two daughters, Carol Blakely (Ron) of Chillicothe and Christine Adkison (Dayrel) of Hamilton; one brother, Rick Webb (Carla) of Cowgill; three sisters, Nancy Proffitt (Keith) of Camden, Caren Gibson (Don) of Braymer, and Iola McQueen (Calvin) of Grain Valley; six grandchildren, Kelly Boyle, Megan Anderson, Shelby Griffin, Ashley Hamilton, Jesse Blakely, and Katie Adkison; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home in Braymer. A scheduled visitation will be held on Friday, Jan. 5, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home in Braymer. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, Jan. 5, from noon until 8:00 p.m. Inurnment will be at the Evergreen Cemetery in Braymer. Memorial contributions may be made to the Braymer Christian Church, and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, MO 64601.
