Herbert Ralph Jones

Herbert Ralph Jones age 96, Hamilton, passed away at his home on April 11, 2022.  Herbert had lived in Caldwell County his entire life. Herb was born on Aug. 10, 1925, in Cowgill,  to Dewey and Josephine Kavanaugh Jones.  He graduated from the Hamilton High School in 1943.  He honorably served his country in the Army during World War II, serving from 1946-1947.  Herb was a self-employed farmer.

Herb was active in 4-H and FFA and was an honorary foundation member, a member of the Hamilton United Methodist Church, and greatly enjoyed raising sheep an attending all of his grandchildren's school activities.

On Feb. 14, 1948, he married Mary Ruth Alden in Hamilton.  She preceded him in death in 2013.  Also preceding Herb in death were his parents, his son-Stephen, and his brother-Charles.

Survivors include; daughters; Marilyn Jones and Margaret Lienhardt, both of Hamilton; son; Wayne Jones, Hamilton; 3 grandchildren; Casey Jones (Jamie Ecton), Lacy Allee (Zach), and Katie Pippin (Darren); and several great-grandchildren.

Graveside Services will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, April 18, at the Highland Cemetery, Hamilton.

Memorials maybe made to The Hamilton R-II School FFA Program.

Friends may call at Bram Funeral Home in Hamilton, after 9 a.m., on Monday.
