Hildegard "Hilde" Webb
Hildegard "Hilde" (Detjen) Webb, age 74, of Braymer, MO, passed away on Dec. 26, 2020, at the Cameron Regional Medical Center in Cameron. Hilde lived around the Gould Farm, Cowgill, and Braymer areas in Caldwell County most of her married life, and she also lived in King City for about 20 years.
Hilde was born on Nov. 8, 1946, in Saarbrucken, Germany, to Wilhelm and Anna Maria Irene (Wotsel) Detjen. She was a homemaker and also provided babysitting for a number of years, as well as working formerly as a dispatcher for the Caldwell County Sheriff's Department.
She was a member of the Braymer First Christian Church, and also a member of the Sisters In Service (SIS) at the church, and held membership in the Tuesday Study Club of Braymer. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and especially grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved to visit with people, and very much liked eating out when she could.
She married Herbert "LeRoy" Webb on Sept. 11, 1964, in Europe. He preceded her in death.
Hilde was also preceded in death by her parents, and a brother and sister.
Survivors include her daughters, Christine (Dayrel) Adkison of Hamilton and Carol (Ron) Blakely of Chillicothe; six grandchildren, Kelly (Matt) Boyle, Megan (Tyler) Anderson, Shelby (Freddie) Griffin, Katie Adkison, Ashley (Jacob) Hamilton, and Jesse Blakely; eight great-grandchildren; siblings, Irmi Hertel and Alfred Detjen, both of Germany; sisters-in-law, Nancy (Keith) Proffitt of Camden, Caren (Don) Gibson of Braymer, and Iola (Calvin) McQueen of Grain Valley; brother-in-law, Rick (Carla) Webb of Cowgill; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2021, at the Braymer First Christian Church in Braymer. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Jan. 2. Inurnment will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Braymer. Memorials may be made to the Braymer First Christian Church.
