James B. Hendren

James B. Hendren, formerly of Lake St. Louis, MO, passed away on Jan. 3, 2016, at the age of 89. He is the beloved husband of Elsye Hendren nee Burkett of Creve Coeur.

James was a member of Dardenne Presbyterian Church. He loved golfing, boating, fishing, and spending time with his family and grandchildren. He loved and cherished his wife for 66 wonderful years of marriage. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy C. and Hettie Hendren nee Boner; sons, Michael Bruce Hendren and Steve Craig Hendren.

He is survived by his daughter, Connie Marie (Steve) Krejci of O’Fallon; four grandchildren, Josh and Marc Krejci, Andrea Krysiak and Casey Hendren; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2016, at 7:00 p.m. at Pitman Funeral Home in Wentzville. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Jan. 6, prior to the service. Graveside services will be held on Friday, Jan. 8, at 11:00 a.m. at the Kingston Cemetery in Kingston. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Missouri Veterans Home in care of Pitman Funeral Home, P.O. Box 248, Wentzville, MO 63385.
