James Lee Wilson

James Lee Wilson, age 62, of Kidder, MO, passed away on March 21, 2017. James was born on April 1, 1954, in Kansas City, to Lee James and Beulah Gertrude (Thompson) Wilson. They preceded him in death.

James was a 1971 graduate of Lafayette High School and attended college, majoring in conservation.

He was a veteran of the US Navy, serving as a Navy Seal during the Vietnam War, where he earned a Bronze Star.

James was the boss of Wilson Electric.

On April 22, 1983, James married Tammy Buck in Pineville. She survives of the home.

Additional survivors include two sons, James Lee Wilson of Kidder and Matt (Tosha) Wilson of Hamilton; four daughters, Cristina (Bobby Redmer II) Wilson of Kidder, Cher Wilson of St. Joseph, Tasha George of Jamesport and Andrea Wilson of Kansas City; two brothers, Dennis Wilson and Ronald Wilson; 19 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, March 27, at Poland-Thompson Funeral Home in Cameron. A visitation will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m., prior to the service. Inurnment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to Poland-Thompson Funeral Home for expenses. Online condolences may be accessed at www.polandthompson.com.
