James Spencer Bothwell

James Spencer Bothwell, age 63, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 23, 2015, at St. Luke’s Hospice House in Kansas City.

James was born the son of Wells and Jewell Jackson (Ragan) Bothwell on Sept. 15, 1951, in Chillicothe, MO. He was a 1971 graduate of Breckenridge High School. He grew up on the farm and loved to fish. James worked as a Kitchen Assistant for Rafael Hotel in Kansas City for 37 years, after completing a program through the Sheltered Workshop in St. Joseph.

James was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Peggy Bothwell.

Survivors include one brother, Barrie Bothwell (Julie) of Breckenridge; two sisters, Barb Connor (Dan) of St. Joseph and Carol Herrick of St. Louis; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were held at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Breckenridge on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2015. There was no scheduled family visitation.
