Jeffery Wayne Tice

Jeffery Wayne Tice, age 50, passed away Thursday, Nov. 10, 2016, in Springfield, MO. Jeffery was born Jan. 1, 1966, to Jerry Gene and Ruby Mavean (Moore) Tice in Kansas City.

Formally from Polo, he lived the last 28 years in Winona, where he enjoyed fishing, camping and riding around on dirt roads while enjoying nature. Jeff loved the outdoors and spent a lot of his time exploring the wild while looking for arrowheads (which he collected) or roots to sell. Jeff was preceded in death by his mother, Ruby Mavean Tice-Smith; his brother, Terry Gene Tice; a niece; a great-niece; and his wife, Janice Rae (Farris) Tice, of more than 20 years.
He is survived by his father, Jerry Gene Tice, of Birch Tree; one brother, Rick Tice of Lawson; and three sisters, Sherry Lorang of Springfield, Crystal Eggert of Alton and Stephanie Prewitt of Winona; a sister-in-law; 25 nieces and nephews, 22 great-nieces and nephews, uncles, aunts and many cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to the Jeff Tice Memorial fund. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Stith Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Polo. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Prairie Ridge Cemetery, next to his mother.
