Jerry L. Baker, 62, Hamilton, MO., passed away on June 7, 2025, at his home in Hamilton. He lived in Hamilton all of his life.

Jerry was born on September 24, 1962, in Cameron, MO, to Donald and Frances (Mayes) Baker Waters. He was a 1980 graduate of the Penney High School, Hamilton. Jerry worked as a bus driver for the Kingston, MO, school, and he had worked for the Stride Rite Shoe Factory and Midwest Glove Factory in Hamilton. The past few years Jerry worked for the Missouri Star Quilt Company as a handyman/maintenance man.

Jerry was a follower of Jesus Christ and is now home with the Lord. He had a kind heart for animals and especially for his cat, Sonny. While working for Missouri Star Quilt Company he took great pride in making the city of Hamilton look its best and enjoyed hanging the Christmas lights for the Christmas season. In his spare time he had a love for woodworking and made many beautiful pieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents, step-dad Roger Waters, grandparents Edgar and Effie Baker, and sisters Cheryl, Marla and Bonnie.

On October 15, 1982, he married Tammy Barlow in Chillicothe at the United Methodist Church. She survives of the home. Additional survivors include his brothers Gary and Jim; sister Wendy; cousin Peggy Baker; and numerous other family members.

Graveside Service for all friends and family: 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at Highland Cemetery, Hamilton, MO.

Memorial donations may be made to the Caldwell County Foundation Cancer Assistance Fund in care of the funeral home.
