John Charles "Charlie" Ford, Jr.

John Charles “Charlie” Ford, Jr., age 82, of Hamilton, MO, passed away at his home on May 24, 2019.

Charlie was born on May 1, 1937, in Kidder, to John Charles and Pearlie M. (Bratcher) Ford. He was a 1956 graduate of the Hamilton High School. Charlie was self-employed as backhoe operator and also farmed and raised cattle.

He was a member of the Wells of Joy Church, southeast of Hamilton, and president of the Northwest Missouri Horse Show Circuit for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Russell Ford; daughter, Sharia Ford Licklider; and brother, Ronnie Ford.

On Sept. 13, 1974, he married Mary Lee Shore in Waverly. She survives of the home.

Additional survivors include his daughters, Terry Joiner of Braymer, Sheila Sternisha of Panama City, FL, and Sharyl Ford Pollard of Hamilton; son, Justin Ford of Maysville; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and brother, Richard Ford of Lee’s Summit.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 28, at Bram Funeral Home in Hamilton. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, May 27, at the funeral home. Interment will be at Wells of Joy Cemetery, southeast of Hamilton. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wells of Joy Church or Three Rivers Hospice in Cameron.

Arrangements are under the direction of Bram Funeral Home in Hamilton.
