John Dee Anderson
John D. Anderson, age 85, of Rich Hill, MO, formerly of Tunas and Nettleton, MO, passed away at his home on June 24, 2020. He lived in Rich Hill the past 15 years.
John was born on March 29, 1935, in Urbana, to Roy Francis and Vera Iantha (Morton) Anderson. He went to school and spent his childhood years in Tunas, where he graduated from high school. After high school he earned some college credit and served his country honorably in the Army. He spent most of his adult life in Nettleton.
John worked as a crop duster, farmer and trucker. He attended the Southern Baptist Church when younger and was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Camden.
He married Sylvia Jean Provo in 1959 and they were later divorced.
John was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Elaine Grubbs; son, John Kurt Anderson; and former wife, Sylvia.
Survivors include his sisters, Ellen Eagan, Shirley McCollum, Donna Rivas, Linda Jennings, Carolyn King, Pamela Corbitt, and Frances Kirkpatrick; brother, Wendell Perkins; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and daughter, Cathy Deveney of Gallatin, TN.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 29, at Bram Funeral Home in Hamilton. A visitation will be held on Monday at 12:30 until service time at the funeral home.
