John Michael Owens

John Michael Owens passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2021.

John was born on Dec. 14, 1940. John was known for his great sense of humor and low-key demeanor. If you knew John, you were better for it. John loved his farm and the wildlife that lived there. Graduating from the University of Missouri with a degree in Agriculture, John was a member of the Teamsters Local 41 and truckdriver for 29 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Claude D. Owens and Aileen Muir Owens and sister Jo Lynn Owens.

John is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Barbara Owens, brother Jeff T. Owens of Kansas City, sister Jill Wissman of Liberty, niece Jo Kyle Morgan and grand-nieces Jo Antonia Archuleta and Bianka Flora Morgan of Kansas City.
