John W. Ball

John W. Ball, of Lee’s Summit, MO, passed away at the age of 91 at the V.A. Hospital on April 9, 2017.

John was born in Stet and raised in Braymer. His senior year of high school he was called to serve his country, and served in the Army during World War II.

He worked for grain companies, and for 25 years, at Golden Sun Feeds in Estherville, IA. When he retired, he and his wife moved to Lee’s Summit.

He leaves at home his wife of 65-1/2 years, Betzey Curnow Ball; one son, John Wm. Ball (Cindy); daughters, Sharon Carter and Karen Ball; two granddaughters, Ashleigh and Katelyn Ball; the little dog Teddy, his care giver; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at Swan Lake Garden Cemetery in Grain Valley; the immediate family attending April 12, 2017. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the VFW Post 5789, Lee’s Summit Fire Dept. #5, Masonic Lodge #263, or Aldersgate Methodist Church.
