John Wesley Breinich
John (Jack) Wesley Breinich, age 77, a resident of Braymer, MO, passed away on Monday, Jan. 11, 2016, at Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Richmond.
Jack was born the son of the late William Steven Breinich and Madeline Elizabeth (Betts) Pitts on Aug. 13, 1938, in Raven Run, PA. Jack married the love of his life, Charlotte Mae Snyder on Aug. 12, 1956, at the Oak Grove Methodist Church in Paxinos, PA, and they are now together forever.
At an early age, Jack moved his young family to a farm in Berrysburg, PA, where he enjoyed farm life while also working various factory jobs. He enjoyed riding horses, four wheeling, playing board games, pinochle, euchre and golfing with family and friends. Later in life he helped his wife manage the Lourdes Home for Unwedded Mothers in Steelton, PA for nearly a decade. He was a member of the Reigles United Methodist Church in Berrysburg, PA.
After retiring he and his wife moved to Braymer to help his family raise many grandchildren. They became members of the First Baptist Church of Braymer and did volunteer work for Meals on Wheels.
He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; brothers, Ronald (Runt) Breinich and William (Bill) Breinich; sister, Delores (Dee) Derk; son, Mark Breinich; and daughter, Cathy Breinich.
Survivors include one daughter, Cindy Mattis, his pride and joy, of Liberty; three sons, Wesley Breinich (Tracy) of Hilton Head Island, SC, John Breinich, Jr. of Middletown, PA, and Rory Breinich (Yvonne) of Elizabethville, PA; one sister, Myrtle (Dot) Wormald of Treverton, PA; eleven grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Braymer Baptist Church in Braymer on Saturday, Jan. 16, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. There is no scheduled family visitation. Friends may call at the Braymer Baptist Church on Saturday, Jan. 16, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Burial will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Braymer. Afterwards a luncheon will be provided at the Braymer Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Meals on Wheels. Donations can be made via www.mowaa.org/donate-2015, or may be hand delivered/mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, MO 64601.
