Karle Kresse

Karle Kresse, age 83, of Kingston, MO, passed away on Sept. 9, 2016, at the Cameron Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Cameron. He and his wife had lived in Kingston for the past 42 years, and he had previously lived in Cameron and Hamilton.

Karle was born on Oct. 2, 1932, in Clinton County, to Jake and Ruth (Harris) Kresse. He had graduated from the Cameron High School in 1950. Karle served his country in the US Army for a two year tour during the Korean Conflict.

Karle had worked for The General Telephone Company in Cameron for 31 years as a lineman until his retirement. After retirement, he owned and operated the MFA Service Station in Kingston. He was a Christian and had been an alderman for the City of Kingston. He had also been a volunteer fireman for the cities of Hamilton and Kingston.

Karle was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Barbara; and brothers, Kenny and Jake, Jr.

On Sept. 2, 1974, he married Mary Ann (Hill) Burnett in Kingston. She survives of the home.

Additional survivors include his children, Kim (Ron) Clark of Cameron, Mark (Annette) Burnett of Kingston, Ryland (Ally) Burnett of Cameron, and Beverly (John) Deis of Kingston; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service and interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2016, at the Highland Cemetery in Hamilton. A visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 13, at the Bram Funeral Home in Hamilton. Friends may call after 9 a.m. on Tuesday at Bram Funeral Home in Hamilton. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Caldwell County Foundation Cancer Assistance Fund.
