Larry Paul Logston, Jr.

Larry Paul Logston, Jr., age 79, of Kansas City, MO, passed away on Jan. 16, 2021, at the North Kansas City Hospital in North Kansas City.

Larry was born on Oct. 18, 1941, in Hamilton, to Larry Paul Logston, Sr. and Christine Louise Bathgate Logston. He was a 1959 Penney High School graduate. Larry retired from Yellow Freight in 2003 as a road driver and was also a member of the Teamsters Union. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge for a short time, the Hamilton Baptist Church, and really enjoyed car racing and attending sporting events.

On May 27, 1971, he married Diana Grant in Hamilton. They were married almost 50 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

Survivors include his wife, Diana, of the home; children, Robert Logston of Hamilton, Tom Logston of Weatherby, Christina Claypool of Kansas City, and Matthew Logston of Anza, CA; adopted grandson, Devin Claypool of Overland Park, KS; grandchildren, Amanda Blackburn, Andrew and Anthony Logston, and Payton and Aubrey Logston, all of Hamilton; six great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Carolyn Logston of Raymore and Betty Ann Smith of Cameron.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Friday, Jan. 22, at Bram Funeral Home in Hamilton. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Friends may call beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. Interment will be at Highland Cemetery in Hamilton.
