Larry Wayne Hill

Larry Wayne Hill, age 77, of Polo, Mo., entered eternal life June 25, 2016, at Liberty Hospital in Liberty. Larry entered this life June 23, 1939, the son of Lawrence and Edna Norris Hill in Wallace.

Larry graduated from Faucett High School in 1957. On Sept. 15, 1962, he was united in marriage to Maxine Lund in Leavenworth, KS. In 1972 Larry and his family moved to Polo, where they made their home. He worked for Sante Fe Railraod and then for Amtrak from their incorporation until his retirement as a District Supervisor in June of 1999. Larry was a member of the Air National Guard for four years. He loved farming, his animals, and especially his birds.

Mr. Hill was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Vera Stanton.

He is survived by his wife of the home; son, Wayne (Jennifer) Hill of Easton; daughter, Jennifer Lewey of Colorado Springs, CO; grandchildren, Jacob, Kerstin, Nicole and Bryan; great-granddaughter, Teegan; and nieces and nephews.

Larry will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, June 29, 2016, at 7:00 p.m. at Stith Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Polo, with a visitation beginning one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
