Louis “L.E.” Jordan

Louis “L.E.” Jordan, age 81, of Polo, MO, entered eternal life Feb. 1, 2016, at North Care Hospice House in North Kansas City surrounded by his loving family. “L.E.” entered this life in Centerville, IA, the son of Carson Jordan and Rachel Jordan (Murphy).

On Nov. 14, 1952, he was united in marriage to Betty Harsh in Centerville, IA. “L.E.” worked for General Motors for 33 years. Later he also was employed by John Hill Bus Company for 16 years, serving as transportation director for the Polo R-7 School District. “L.E.” was a member of the Prairie Ridge Christian Union Church in Polo.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Carson Jordan, Jr.; a sister, Faith Buxton; and a nephew, Steven Staggs.

“L.E.” is survived by his wife, Betty, of the home; son, Ed (Sheila) Jordan of Cameron; daughter, Debbie (Ron) Fleming of Kingston; and son, Kenny (Mary) Jordan of Gallatin. He is also survived by a brother, Darwin (Evonne) Jordan of Las Vegas, NV; and a sister, Wanda Parrett of Oskaloosa, IA; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

A visitation is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 5, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Prairie Ridge Christian Union Church. Services will be held Saturday, Feb. 6, at 2:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow at Prairie Ridge Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to North Care Hospice House or Prairie Ridge Christian Union Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Stith Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Polo.
