Lyle Gordon Clark

 

Lyle Gordon Clark age 95,  of Hamilton, passed away on Feb. 12, 2022, at the Missouri Veteran's Home in Cameron. He lived in Hamilton almost all of his life.

Lyle was born on Oct. 23, 1926, in Hamilton, to Benjamin and Maggie (Yagle) Clark.  He attended school in Hamilton and then honorably served his country in the Army during World War II, serving from 1945-1947.  Lyle worked as a self-employed farmer and truck driver.

Riding horses and raising cattle were Lyle's favorite things to do in his spare time.  He was a past member of the Hamilton Saddle Club and a member of the Hamilton American Legion Post #285 and the VFW.  

Preceding him in death were his parents and his brother, Benjamin Perkins (B.P.) Clark.

On March 17, 1950, Lyle married Mable Colene Elliott, in Hamilton.  She survives of the home.

Additional survivors include; 3 children-Gary Clark of Washington, MO; LaVern Clark of Hamilton; and Patty Hawkins of St. Peters, MO; 4 grandsons-Brent and Jarrett Clark and Travis and Kyle Hawkins; 4 great-grandchildren-Lilly, Dylan and Dean Hawkins and Brielle Clark; 2 sisters-Josephine Burns, Manson, Washington; and Margaret Jessen of Richardson, TX; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Feb. 18, 2022, at the Hamilton Baptist Church.

Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service, from 1 to 2 p.m., at the church, on Feb. 18.

Interment was at Highland Cemetery in Hamilton.

Memorials can be made to The VFW, the Hamilton American Legion Post #285, or the Hamilton Baptist Church.

Friends may call on Thursday, at Bram Funeral Home in Hamilton, from 10 a.m., until 5 p.m.

Arrangements are under the direction of Bram Funeral Home.
