Lyndell Leroy Blevins

Lyndell Leroy Blevins died peacefully at Menorah Hospital on Tuesday, July 19, 2016, in Leawood, KS, at the age of 85.

Lyndell is survived by his wife, Juanita, of 59 years, of the home; sons, Mark Blevins of Harrisonville and Rex (Misty) Blevins of Peculiar; three grandchildren, Adam of Kansas City and Benjamin and Caitlin, both of Peculiar.

Lyndell was born on Oct. 3, 1930, in Braymer, to Ira “Harrison” and Rena Blevins. He graduated from the University of Missouri at Columbia with an Electrical Design Engineering degree. He served in the Navy during the Korean War. He retired from Wilcox Electric Company in Kansas City. He was a member of the Grandview United Methodist Church and the V.F.W.

A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, July 23, 2016, at Lindley Pitts Funeral Home in Braymer, at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment will be held at Cowgill Cemetery in Cowgill. Memorial gifts are suggested to Ozanam and/or the Grandview United Methodist Church, and may be sent to the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, MO 64601.
