Mary Maxine Gorham

Mary Maxine Gorham, age 92, of Rayville, MO, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2019, at Shirkey Nursing and Rehab in Richmond. Maxine was born on March 8, 1927, in Ray County, the daughter of William and Zelphia (Hendrix) Bisbee. She was a graduate of Stet High School and was a homemaker. On September 7, 1946, she was united in marriage to Wetzel Keith Gorham in Olathe, KS. 

Maxine was a member of the Knoxville Community Church and the China Painters. 

Mrs. Gorham was preceded in death by her husband, Wetzel; parents; four sisters, Fern McCall, Helen Lile, Pearl Starcher, and Mabel Clark; brother, Arzy Bisbee; and a niece.

Survivors include three sons, Ronald Keith Gorham of Polo, Samuel K. Gorham of Rayville, and Billy Joe Gorham of Polo; 14 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and other extended family.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Polo United Methodist Church in loving memory of Maxine Gorham. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 20, 2019, at the Polo United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow at Richmond Memory Gardens after a family lunch. Arrangements have been entrusted to Stith Family Funeral Home in Polo.
