Michale Ervin Riley

Michale “Mike” Ervin Riley, age 68, of Kidder, MO, passed away at his home on Aug. 9, 2016. He had lived in Kidder for the past 16 years and had previously lived in McPherson, KS.

Mike was born on Oct. 11, 1947, in Fort Scott, KS, to Robert and Thelma A. Riley. He had served our country in the Army, serving in Germany from 1972-1973 as a sharp shooter and had earned the Good Conduct Medal. He had worked as a truck driver and was an avid fisherman and hunter.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Patrick Riley and Denny Riley; and sister, Thelma.

Survivors include his children, Michale Riley of Excelsior Springs, Jeffrey Riley of Montezuma, KS, Mary Kay Riley of Stewartsville, Sarah Tucker-Riley of KS, Karen Hudson of Nickerson, KS, and Robert Krause of Liberal, KS; uncle, Glenn Riley of Kidder; and several nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 21, at the Kidder United Methodist Church. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Brown Funeral Home in Cameron.
