Mildred “Mickey” Louise Fields

Mildred “Mickey” Louise Fields, age 90, a resident of Spring, TX, a former resident of Polo, passed away on Saturday, Mar. 23, 2019, at Spring Creek Village in Spring, TX.

Mickey was born the daughter of Floyd and Carrie Rose Phillips on Aug. 26, 1928, in Polo. She was a 1946 graduate of Polo High School. She was united in marriage to Arthur “Duane” Fields on Aug. 26, 1949, in Caldwell County. He preceded her in death on April 14, 1987. Mickey worked as the Director of Daycare at the Bammel Baptist Church in Houston, TX, for many years. 

Survivors include two sons, Michael Fields of Houston, TX and Stan Fields of Kansas City; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Duane; and two brothers, Donald and Charles Hyder.

Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home in Braymer on Wednesday, Mar. 27, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. A scheduled visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Wednesday, one hour prior to the service. Friends may call the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Braymer. Memorial contributions may be made to A*MED Community Hospice, and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, MO 64601.
