Randy Alexander

Randy Mark Alexander, age 63, of Hamilton, MO, passed away on Dec. 22, 2016, at the Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph.

Randy was born on Jan. 18, 1953, in Cameron, to Harold and Voncile Combs Alexander. He was a 1971 graduate of the Penney High School in Hamilton, and then attended Trenton Junior College in Trenton for one year studying agriculture business. He had worked in the past as a school bus driver and at Winslow Feed in Hamilton, but he retired from Western Missouri Correctional Center in Cameron, after 25 years of service there as a correctional officer.

Randy was a member of the Hamilton United Methodist Church.

Randy married Donna Leabo on Jan. 21, 1972, in Hamilton. She preceded him in death in 2001. He was also preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Les and Ruth Combs and Ada and Wyatt Alexander; and sister, Lori Alexander.

Survivors include his daughters, Tammy (Jim) Pratt of Hamilton and Kimi (Michael) Gray of Kingston; brother, Danny (Cheryl) Alexander of Hamilton; sister, Julie (Roger) Hill of Hamilton; five grandchildren, Andrew (Taylor) Pratt, Jesse Pratt, Dakota (Joslyn) Gray, Karly (Gage) Johnson, and Hanna and Braden Gray; and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 29, 2016, at the Apostolic Lighthouse Church in Hamilton. A visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 28, at Bram Funeral Home in Hamilton. Interment will be at Highland Cemetery in Hamilton. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
