Reba Nadine Silkwood

Reba Nadine Silkwood, age 92, a resident of Chillicothe, MO, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 27, 2016, at the Baptist Home in Chillicothe.

Reba Nadine Silkwood was born on Dec. 3, 1923, in Braymer, to James B. Clevenger and Jessie Reba (Yaokum) Clevenger. She was married to Virgil Eston Silkwood on Dec. 8, 1941. Reba was a homemaker and member of the Braymer Baptist Church in Braymer.

Reba is survived by one daughter, Sandy Etherton of Liberty; six grandchildren; one brother, Donald Bart Clevenger of Braymer; and several great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Virgil Silkwood; son, Ronnie Silkwood; two brothers, Herbert and Buford Clevenger; and three sisters, Maxine Hawkins, Louise Shaver and Mildred Redman.

A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home in Chillicothe on Thursday, Sept. 1, 2016, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, Sept. 1, from noon until 6:00 p.m. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date at Evergreen Cemetery in Braymer.
