Rhonda L. Dinwiddie-Shively

Rhonda L. Dinwiddie-Shively, age 59, of Braymer, MO, passed away Friday, June 9, 2017, at her home in Braymer under the care of St. Luke’s Hospice and her family.

Rhonda L. Dinwiddie-Shively was born in Buffalo, MO, on June 21, 1957, to Linda Huffman-Dame and her biological father, Gerald Dame. In 1958, her mother married Freeman Dinwiddie and he became her father.

She resided in Braymer, where she provided daycare to many children in Braymer and Chillicothe for over 25 years. Ministry was her passion from the minute she accepted Jesus and was baptized in Sept. of 1994, at the Highview Baptist Church in Chillicothe. She had taught Youth Ministry in Braymer and Singles Ministry in Braymer and Chillicothe, Sunday school for adults and children, and she helped with Vacation Bible School. She loved spending time with family, friends and her babysitting kids.

She is survived by her dad, Gerald, and wife Shirley Dame of Phillipsburg; three children, daughter, Jackie Jackson of Braymer and two sons, Ryan (Brant) Mara McElwee of Braymer, and Caleb Shivley and Ronnie Murray of Braymer; seven grandchildren, Jerry and Morgan Jackson of Excelsior Springs, Derrick and Brooke McElwee, Nevaeh, Trey Scott, and Paisynn Shively, all of Braymer. She is also survived by her ten brothers and sisters, Randy (Diane) Dinwiddie of Dawn, Gene Dinwiddie of Braymer, Roxann (Nolan) Miller of Chillicothe, Rick Dame of Freeport, Rosie (Doug) Atkinson of Marshfield, Cheryl (Tommy) Holloway of Lebanon, Ray (Karen) Dame of Phillipsburg, Luke (Nancy) Dame of Lebanon, Chris (Penny) Dame of Grove Springs, and Gearld (Rhonda) Dame of Lebanon.

Rhonda was preceded in death by her mother, Linda Dinwiddie; father, Freeman Dinwiddie; and brother, Joe Allen Dame.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 16, 2017, at the First Baptist Church in Braymer. A visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m., one hour prior to the service on Friday. Burial will be held at a later date. Memorials in honor of Rhonda may be made to the Anderson Ball Park in Braymer, and may be left at or mailed to Heritage Funeral Home, 3141 N.
