Richard K. Vanderpool

Richard K. Vanderpool, age 68, of St. Joseph, MO, passed away Thursday, Nov. 24, 2016. He was born April 23, 1948, in Braymer.

Richard married Jilla Kay Schottel on Nov. 12, 1971; she survives of the home.

Richard enjoyed taking trips with his wife and his sisters-in-law. He also had a love for Aerosmith and his favorite TV show was The Big Bang Theory.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Verna; brother, Roger Vanderpool; and sister, Betty Ziekle

Additional survivors include his children, Jamie, Kevin and Stacey Vanderpool; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister, Reba Johnson; and numerous nieces and nephews

The family received friends on Sunday at Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Thornton Cemetery in Clarksdale.
