Robert "Bob" Leroy McDonough

Robert "Bob" Leroy McDonough, age 80, of Kidder, passed away on Feb. 21, 2020, at the KU Medical Center in Kansas City, KS. He previously lived in St. Charles, before moving to Kidder over two years ago.

Bob was born on June 16, 1939, in Chicago, IL. He graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO, in 1962. He played football for the Air Force Academy team there and was the team captain. He was employed as a Captain for American Airlines and retired after 30 years of service. 

He was a Christian and had been of the Lutheran faith. He loved horses, watching football, and was an avid Chicago Bears and Cubs fan.

Bob was preceded in death by his mother, Eleanor Weith McDonough; his father; son, Bobby McDonough; and his partner for 30 years, Susan Sikorsky.

Survivors include his children, Alexa McDonough of Kidder, Mary McDonough (George), of Raleigh, NC, and Thomas McDonough of Chicago, IL; granddaughter, Ashley McDonough of Kidder; and Bobby's fianceé, Brenda Patterson-Wadley of Lawson.

Cremation has been entrusted to Bram Funeral Home in Hamilton.
