Robert Lee McBee

Robert Lee McBee, age 93, a resident of Braymer, MO, passed away on Friday, July 12, 2019, at Golden Age Nursing Home in Braymer.

Robert was born the son of Lee and Nellie (McKnight) McBee on Sept. 16, 1925, in Braymer. He served in the US Army from 1946 until 1947, during World War II. Robert was united in marriage to Betty Mills on March 4, 1951, in Lamar, CO. She preceded him in death on January 25, 2003. He worked as a farmer most of his life. Robert was a member of the Braymer Methodist Church in Braymer. He was also a member of the Braymer Tweedie-Murray American Legion Post 117.

Survivors include two sons, Steve McBee and Ray McBee, both of Braymer; one brother, Donald Dean McBee of Braymer; one sister, Mary Lou Kelly of Fort Collins; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren;. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty; two brothers, Doyle and Lloyd McBee; and one sister, Dorothy Mallory.

A memorial service will be held at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home in Braymer on Thursday, July 18, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. A scheduled visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 17 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from noon until 8:00 p.m. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date at Evergreen Cemetery in Braymer.
