Robert R. Wilcox
Robert “Bob” Ray Wilcox, age 80, of Cameron, MO, passed away July 8, 2015.
Bob was born on April 12, 1935, in Cameron to John Robert and Helen (Smith) Wilcox.
Bob was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Cameron, Boys Scout Troop, Tribe of Mic O Say and American Legion Elmer Ellis Post #33.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Ione (Farmer) Wilcox; sister, Naomi Walton; and two grandchildren, Bonnie and Vincent Wilcox.
On June 9, 1971, Bob married Lynette Young in Salt Lake City, Utah. She survives of the home.
Additional survivors include four sons, Bill (Beverly) Wilcox of Cameron, Jim (Paula) Wilcox of Tahlequah, OK, Michael (Kari) Wilcox of Hamilton, Daniel (Sarah) Wilcox of Trenton; daughter, Rebecca (Jess) Amos of Salem, IA; two brothers, James (Donna) Wilcox of Cameron and Homer (Judy) Wilcox of Kirkwood; sister, Mary Carolyn Miller of Kansas City; 16 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 13, 2015, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Cameron. A visitation will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the church. Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 14, at Leavenworth National Cemetery in Leavenworth, KS. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Boy Scouts of America Cross Arrows District.
